Pickleball has become one of the most popular, rapidly growing sports in the world and in your Esplanade community. There are over 350 members currently participating in our many pickleball activities. Rarely is there a day or evening when there isn't vigorous play taking place on the courts. Nothing beats the sound of the ball and the camaraderie of our residents playing pickleball!
 
We offer scheduled group play that include Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Men’s, and Women's groups as well as Open Play which is assigned by skill level and resident organized social groups. There are numerous opportunities for just showing up and getting into a game by ability level.

Traditionally Sunday mornings at Esplanade includes Social Open Play where residents mix with players of all skill levels to meet and make new friends.
 
Special events like Pickleball Socials are a way for members to meet and mingle. Residents share food and drink playing or just socializing. There is an annual Esplanade resident tournament and fundraisers for worthy causes.
 
Our Director of Court Sports, Jim McDonald, (IPTPA, USAPA, USPTA) can be found organizing play, teaching pickleball clinics or planning events. He and the Pickleball Advisory / Subcommittees are working hard to make our pickleball program the best it can be!
